Solution: Ghetto mount a 5.25 fan controller in the bottom fan mount of my H440.

Very ghetto, but very functional.

Hey guys

So I want to run my pc with its fans off at idle, but Fan Xpert wont let me.

Is there a way around?

Or do you guys recommended any other fan software control?

Chassis fans are not actually PWM controlled, they just get a constant 100% PWM signal on that 4th pin. So you're stuck with voltage control here, which is fairly limited and probably won't go much lower than the 40%. You should, however, be able to turn them off if they're not under load. There's a little checkmark you can check for this option in AI suite 3 at least.

I run my chassis fan's with the Swiftech fan hub. (came with my H220X) It gets power from sata and connects to 4 pin. Maybe it can be controlled?

you cannot have fans off

20% minimum for the CPU fan which is PWM

40% minimum for the chassis fans which are not PWM
