Do EVGAs new cards run quiet with no coil whine?

This one has Zero fan mode, fans start to spin at +60°C

Truth be told, when I first got my card it sounded like a hypersonic blast went off in my head. 

 

Now it just sounds like I put a playing card in the spokes of my bicycle. Probably a good sign. 

 

(No I do not hear any noise from the card whatsoever.)

I would actually recommend the 290X if you don't mind the increase power consumption as nvidia drivers keep crashing and the fact that only 3.5gb are "fast" is quite annoying knowing that it will bottleneck you in a few years (and even now in some games).
