A couple days ago I did a review on my HP ProBook laptop and I think it is one of the better videos that I have done. I have been using this laptop as my main computer for over a year and I wanted to go over the "physical features" and talk about my personal experiences with it.

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on how you think I did and possibly some tips on how I could improve my videos.

Hi,

First of all i want to tell you, that i don't think this is the forum for you to get feedback on, as (based on my experience) people is not very polite, and there will be almost no responds.

Second, your review is great. I personally don't need explaining of for example what a fan on a laptop is, but for people with less knowledge about pc's, it's good, but a thing you could do is to make separate videos where you explain about pc's. Also, most people don't have 15 minutes to watch a laptop review, so maybe you could make it a bit shorter. Btw, just because it has a dedicated GPU, doesn't mean its a gaming laptop. I'm assuming that the dedicated graphics card in your laptop is a standard AMD or NVIDIA, or maybe a business grade one, but the laptop itself (Keyboard, trackpad etc.) is not made for gaming.

There you go, great review, hop my feedback is helpful! :D

(Sorry for bad English btw.) :/

I agree with Man_with_pants. Another suggestion would be to review it indoors and closer to the camera, so we could get a better look while you are showing it to us. The video is also just a bit long. Your production quality over all is fairly good though, but could be improved by recording audio indoors, as one suggestion. You should also brush up on some of the technical terms you were using in the video, some of which were unnecessarily vague, or just incorrect, for example when you were talking about the display. Linus has a ton of great information on his channels, especially tech quickie, where you can learn about different types of display panels and other technologies that are relevant to what you are trying to achieve.

Keep up the good work man, I know what it's like to be fairly young with very few resources to get started in a hobby which can take a bit of money to get going.

This is so false. The people on this form are some of the most helpful people I know.

Moving on, It was a good video, but i thought the audio/video quality could be improved if you were indoors

Here are some suggestions:

1) Move indoors, it would help with acoustics and video quality (controllable lighting and such)

2) Brush up on your terminology

Other than that, a great video. :)

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it!

I just got a new mic which should upgrade audio performance and also found a new place to record indoors where there is more light.

I know the technical parts of the laptop such as the screen, gpu, etc my problem was that the people that would be looking for this video are people that have very limited tech knowledge and it was hard to talk about it without using technical specifications, so it came out as if I were incorrect (which I sort of was because of how I worded things)

Thanks again soo much for everyone who responded I plan on posting more on LTT!

A video camera tip is to fix the focus, instead of using auto focus. Auto focus makes for a annoying, unprofessional look, great try though!
