Intel's Q3 2015 Mainstream Plans for Broadwell and Skylake

Just incase anyone was wondering what day Q3 starts on it's July 1st. 

 

Intel-Skylake-S-Broadwell-K-Broadwell-E-

 

That's right folks. Intel plan's on having broadwell and skylake processors coexist with each other. Come July this is the likely processor lineup

 

Core I7 5770K - Broadwell 14nm - 4C/8T - LGA 1150

 

All I7's will be Broadwell till atleast Q2 2016

 

Core I5 5690K - Skylake 14nm - 4C/4T - LGA 1151

 

All I5's and Below will be Skylake which includes I3's and Pentium's. 

Core I7 5960X / Gigabyte X99 SOC Force / Kingston 16GB DDR4 3000 / EVGA GTX 980 Classified's In Quad SLI / EVGA 1600W G2

Core I7 6700K / Asus Z170 Maximus VIII Hero / Corsair 16GB DDR4 3000 / MSI R9 290X Lightning / EVGA 1600W T2

From everything i've read.. broadwell will work on Z87/Z97 with a bios update 

 

1151 will have a new chipset obviously thanks to Skylake having a DDR3 and DDR4 memory controller. That's why the TDP is higher than Broadwell

skylake will use a new socket (lga-1151) and ddr4, broadwell will use LGA-1150 and ddr3

I5 K will be 229.99-249.99 usd like every other I5 since Lynnfield :) Intel has been talking 10-20% IPC gains with Skylake so we'll see how good it really is.
