Motherboards doesn't effect cpu performance. Unless its a really, really, really cheap MB

I'm not going to purchase online and it's not available in Hong Kong :(

How about the Asus Z97-A Pro Gamer? How does it compare to the others? Otherwise can you suggest me some motherboards that are around HKD 1500 or 180 to 190 USD? thanks

The pro version has better audio, oc features and some other ROG stuff. So if these features are important for you then go for it

:-)

Vrm are rarely a problem on Intel. I would be more concerned about it if i was buying a fx processor.

Ahh i see. Last question xD thanks for replying fast haha.

Yes i agree about the fx processors. I currently use an fx 8320, the temperatures and power consumption is crazy ahah.

So then overall, in your opinion which motherboard do you think I should go for with my setup? I will be doing a lot of gaming and will overclock as much as i can to get the most performance as possible. Thanks again :)

ASRock Z97-EXTREME3, Z97, ATX, LGA1150, 4*DDR3, Graphic by CPU

How much cheaper is this than the rest?  This works just fine.

Unless there are some features that you really, really want, the Extreme 3 is good.  Only 2 PWM fan socket, and 4 3-pin fan sockets I believe.  It has a good 8 phase VRM for Oc'ing.

If you're going for high overclock i would go with either the pro or ranger from Asus.
