Budget entry level Cherry MX

Hey guys,

I've been looking around for a cheap entry level Cherry MX keyboard. I don't need backlight, media keys and the like, since I first and foremost have to figure out which switch is for me.

I found this one:

http://www.cherry.de/PDF/EN_CHERRY_MX-Board_3_0.pdf

It seems to be only available here in Germany, but it comes with a wrist rest for €70 (about $80).

Is there anything particularly wrong with it, or are there similarly priced ones with higher build quality and/or more features?

Also, I'll go for either brown or blue switches, since I'm more of a typist than a gamer. Guess there's only one way to find out which ones are best for me...

I've seen that, too, but given that I can just order the brown and blue model and have the one I don't like shipped back for free (or at least less than $20, which would be the price of the kit) I could just go on and type on both for a week or so.

FIRST: Please use the Quote button to get back to people so they get a notification.

Second, check out the thread in my sig for help with switches. Feel free to ask any questions.

Third, if the quiz in my sig doesn't help you enough, feel free to try out the switch tester - always the safest bet.

Anyways, I recommend anything from Cooler Master on a budget. They're built well, are very popular and come in all sorts of variants.

Thanks, I found a CM Storm Trigger Z with brown switches for $80, so I went for that. Now it's just waiting for the mailman...

Hey guys, today the keyboard arrived, and I have encountered an issue:

the link to the software that enables you to set up macros (and I assume more) is circular and links only to itself. Cooler Master also doesn't seem to offer any form of support for keyboards, only cases, coolers and PSUs.

Can someone help me out, maybe?

EDIT:

Nevermind, found it. They categorised it as "driver" for some reason.
