Getting rid of the Razer would be good, M50s would not be the best choice for le gaming however.

They aren't bad for being closed. Pretty good all around for gaming, music, and listening to music and stuff on the go. The m40x can be had for about 100 bucks and sounds almost identical, with just a slightly flatter sound, might be something to look into also.

I wouldnt buy them. They are closed and are not worth the money. Id say take a look at Sennheiser Hd 518s or 558s instead. They are open and will be more comfortable

I'd sort of agree with this.

The difference between the M50x and the M40x isn't enough to justify the price hike and if you do get some version of the M**x headphones be ready to also buy new ear pads as the ones they put on those headphones are just awful.

Basically I can't recommend the M** / M**x headphones.

They sound good but they are the most uncomfortable headphones I have ever worn if you use the stock ear pads.

About $50. The 518 has a slightly more bass-tilted sound but other than that there is no real difference.

I wish i lived in US...

I can vouch for the 518/558 being far more comfortable than the m series. I own m40x's and they can get uncomfortable after a while but 518/558 its like theres nothing on your head. If an open back headphone isnt a problem for you, the 518's might be your best bet.

Seems like a good purchase.

PS The Kraken's bass, volume, and equalizer can be adjusted to not sound shitty.

I use the m40x for music and games and they sound great. I use it with the Razer Surround Pro.

So while people might recommend other things, I think this one is perfectly fine. The m40x that is.
