Nvidia 765m driver not correctly finding hardware

Hello forum,

 

Ive recently upgraded from a 660M to 765M and the latest driver software cannot be detected. I then decided to mod the .inf file in hope of a better response from the driver install although am still having trouble.

Im currently using a dell laptop with win10 tech preview on it. The device ID for the gpu is:

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E1&SUBSYS_05511028&REV_A1\4&13F92896&0&0008

 

Im currently using this? (Im pretty new to doing any modding like this)

%NVIDIA_DEV.11E1.05AA.1028% = Section151, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E1&SUBSYS_05511028

 

If anyone is familiar with this issue please feel free to leave a comment as any advice/ opinion about the matter is much welcome!!

Maybe try uninstalling the current driver then rebooting the pc?

Tried using a display driver uninstaller already that did that but still no good

Try device manager, it should remove the driver entirely (will black out the screen) then reboot, you should now have windows deafult 800x600 driver then install a geforce WHQL
