Whats a good DESK mic for Skype or in-game voice chats/calls? (Snowball?... Blue Yeti?...)

Both are decent.

A Blue Snowflake should already be plenty.

I've had experience with both. I personally would go with the Snowball. I was planning on going with that, except on black friday they had the Yeti on for $99 CAD.

 

They also have a nice low profile, cheap option called the Blue Snowflake, it's around $60-70 CAD.

Snowflake is fine. I like the snowball better because it looks nicer and is a little bit better quality although you won't notice it in voip. 

My personal rig - 4790k 4.8Ghz, Asus Z97 Pro (wi-fi ac), Corsair Dominator Plat 4x8GB, SLI GTX 1080 TI FE, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB, Crucial MX100 512GB, EVGA G3 1000W, and cooled by a hardline liquid cooling loop.
