I know the hard disk is connected properly because it's displaying my files.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

Just Unplug and Plug the HDD connectors properly.

Restart the computer and then go boot the Windows Installation DVD.

Post back the result.

You can create the Bootable USB for installing Windows. It'll be quick.

Just Unplug and Plug the HDD connectors properly.

Restart the computer and then go boot the Windows Installation DVD.

The PC is a pre-build and the HDD's worked before.

The PC is a pre-build and the HDD's worked before.

It's actually normal.

It happens to everyone.

Just to make sure it is connected properly or not.

Normally this happens when you try to install the Windows via USB.

Just post back the result.

Go into the BIOS and check your SATA setting. What is it set to?
