Does anybody know which nvidia driver i should install for a 780 on linux?

The driver scanner suggested you the right one. You would need this one:

 

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/81252/en-us

 

The link also has instructions on how to manually install them, as well as a detailed version when you click "Additional information".

So i've been using linux for a while now as my daily. And it suddenly dawned on me.. I have not installed my video card drivers yet.. 

I've done this before with amd drivers. But that was a long time ago

So i went online to figure out what driver i should install. And i'm just more confused.

I'd like to install it through command line if possible.

So i found this page. http://rpmfusion.org/Howto/nVidia

But i'm not sure which one i'm supposed to pick. Is it the "Geforce 6/7" or just the "Newer geforce" one

Nvidia's driver tool thing just recommended "LINUX X64 (AMD64/EM64T) DISPLAY DRIVER" (Version 346.35)

And that did not help me at all :/

 

Now forgive me if the answer is very clear and im just not seeing it.. It's late and i don't feel like messing this up.

What Distro are you using? Some of the nvidia drivers have locked up different distro's and have caused problems, before installing I woud search the web to make sure this driver is not causing any problems before you install it.
