Intel wireless dock

so after hearing about intel's wireless dock technology i'm wondering if it will be as simple as upgrading the wireless card on my laptop to gain support for the wireless docking technology. thoughts? do you guys think this is how it will work? or will it be a proprietary thing that needs to come form the manufacturer ?
