I was thinking about crossfie it with another 280x but it will require a new PSU so so adding the expense of a new PSU and a new card and i would like to save on power.

But here is the thing i had another opinion to wait for the R9 3xx series, 380 in specific so if you would kindly lend me your oipnions I'd be most grateful :D

tbh if you could wait that would be ideal because even if you don't get a 380/390 prices on other things will drop.

You should wait. Nvidia always launches with prices high. Then AMD gets all pissy and launches cards that are almost as good but $100 cheaper and nvidia has a little bitch fit and lowers their prices to a similar region. The 780 dropped 150 dollars after the 290 came out

That has only happened for one generation. You seem to be unaware that AMD launched the 7970 at 550$ and Nvidia lower than that later on. You should check up on the history before speaking in absolutes.

It is an absolute. Whichever company launches first can dictate the price while their competitor has to try and compete with that either by lowering price or drastically giving better features. I was trying to make it at least slightly amusing to read.

Yes that is how it works initially. However you said "Nvidia always launches with prices high." AMD for that gen launched higher.

Mining was not as popular when the 7000 series launched as when the Rx 200s launched.
