You can SLI another 970 in the future but for now a single 970 should do 1440p just fine (not 60 fps ultra though, it will exceed your budget)

I'm looking to build a very gaming based pc that is also useful as a school work based computer as I will be doing my GCSE's next year. The build needs to include a monitor and Windows 8.1 and preferably a keyboard (a mouse is the only thing I have atm) 1440p 60fps high-ultra is preferred but is I'm losing out on useful stuff because of that then 1080p is fine.
