h100i in a corsair 750D case cooling a 9590k setup?

1 x Corsair Obsidian 750D Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

1 x Corsair Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition CO-9050006-WW 120mm Twin Pack High Static Pressure Case Fan

1 x AMD FX-9590 Vishera 8-Core 4.7GHz Socket AM3+ 220W Desktop Processor - Black Edition FD9590FHHKWOF

1 x ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI

1 x CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

OK so plan is radiator on top of case in a pull config with the SP120 fans on top. Exhaust 9 top and 120 exhaust back with the 2 original case fans on the front for intake. There is two extra bottom area's for 120 fan if I wanted and 120 or 140 fan space on top of case above the disk bay area. Any input or experience is much appreciated. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nflugg80i5xowji/2015-01-27%2014.30.52.jpg?dl=0

Sounds good to me! Those AMD chips kick out alot of heat (trust me) you would not have much OC headroom with a h100i though............... 750D is a great case but they have very very bad airflow on the front intake!!

It's an FX9590, no Ks anywhere ;)

And don't even consider that cpu. It sucks, you'll BARELY be able to cool it with the h100i and you will have no room for overclocking, high end intel cpus still outperform it. Get a 4790k and an asus z97-a, you won't regret it.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

@Sauron cannot disagree mate! U would need minimum a thick push pull 360 to even cool it stock and thats a custom loop! Go intel 1150

Rather than complain, maybe give input on topic? I understand you all don't like it! I've read a lot of other topics where you or others have said the same thing!

I'm looking for helpful input on air flow setup, that's all....thanks

@Samsterstorm what if you take off that front plate it looks like it restricts alot of air flow.

Also I could fit a 140 fan next to the radiator on top of case as a intake? Might work or be a horrible idea! Lol

That front plate makes such a huge difference! !!

If you mount the top radiator in a pull configuration, you should be able to fit a 3rd 120mm fan on the top since the radiator won't interfere like it would in push.

For intake, you'll want the front two fans to be intake fans. The case comes with 2x140mm in the front but can fit 3x120mm if you want to go that route. You can also mount 2x120mm on the bottom. As with most cases, top and back should be exhaust, bottom and front intake.

Another option as well: get rid of the drive cage and find a way to mount the hard drive onto one of the fan positions. Mountain Mods makes a bracket that can be used for that purpose. Alteratively you can buy brackets to mount the hard drive into the 5.25" drive bay and just get rid of the cages entirely and mount fans to the bottom of the case to help bring more air into the case to balance out your exhaust fans.

My Push config H105 is plenty to cool my FX-8320 clocked at 4.8 Ghz, even at 5GHz. :)
