need help with dual monitor, "extended"

So i dont yet have a second monitor, but i want to know if its possible to dual and maybe have triple monitors by just using one displayport on my graphics card and using a splitter into 2 or 3 monitors, and will they all be extended or not. My monitor have only hdmi and vga.

Forgot to mention my graphics card dpes have 2 dvi 1 hdmi and 1 displayport

i think i know what you are asking so your monitor you are getting has hdmi and vga than i would say to just use the 2 dvi and 1 hdmi (hdmi is almost pin to pin compatible with dvi) and the adapters are super cheep 

my computer beats all computers in a 1,000 NM radius
