Sleeving PSU Cables questions

Is it possible to sleeve the standard PSU cables that come with Seasonic PSU's like the ones on my Seasonic X-sereies? They are flat cables and the only guides I have found are for the bulkier single rap style cables.

Is it possible to sleeve the standard PSU cables that come with Seasonic PSU's like the ones on my Seasonic X-sereies? They are flat cables and the only guides I have found are for the bulkier single rap style cables.

 

You basically separate the wires from the flat ribbon, and you end up with the same process, of individually sleeving the cables. You want to also try to color match your wire to the sleeve to prevent any color from showing through especially colors like white.

Thanks! I hadn't realized that doing it yourself could be so much cheaper until today, so im starting my research.

It's a fair bit cheaper but if you want just the sleeving look with little work custom extensions are still the way to go, just be ready for some sore fingers if you plan to sleeve it yourself and make sure to map the pinout to not mix up any wires.
