amd driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered

guimauve522

Hey guys so I built my new computer with your help and straight from the beginning I go this error while playing minecraft "amd driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" At frist it wasn't too much of a problem since I was not playing a lot of minecraft and It only happened in this game. Then I started playing Csgo at it happen in this game too and because it's a competitive game I can't play and getting disconnected 1 or 2 time each game. When this thing happen the game close.

The problem got even worse when I got my new screen, now when the bug happen the screen froze then my monitor tell me that it doesn't see my pc. So I need to turn off and then on my pc to work again...

Pls I've looked everywhere on the internet i've tried the Fix It windows programs, doesn't help. I've done the thing in the registery still does it. Someone said that you need to increase your gpu voltage, what i've tried to do but failed because my gpu seem to be voltage lock so I cannot change it.

I need your help i'm out of solution.

This is my build : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/fjPgrH

I'll assume you haven't done any overclocks then... Open Afterburner and set the levels back to stock.

Is it OC'd? If you were able to overclock i would assume you could put it back to default settings.......
You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

And then what? Because my pc was doing this right after fresh windows instalation so there was no overclock

It's not. But if you look closely my gpu is a OC edition so maybe it could be that?

AMD doesn't have the greatest drivers, maybe if that drive isn't working out for you try getting a hold of an older one?

I just saw that my gpu required a 600W PW to work but I got a 500W could it be the problem?

unlikely that could be the reason

Some questions for you:

  • How did you install your drivers? (CD, or from AMD's website)
  • Which version of the drivers are you using? (14.12 Omega?)
  • How many monitors are connected to your graphics card?
  • Are you running games in Window-Mode or Full-screen?
  • What background programs are you running while gaming?

The power supply most likely shouldn't be an issue, BUT it could be possible.

If it is not adequate, your system would most likely shut down due to over-current protection, BUT there have been reports of odd crashes a such by using inadequate power supplies.

Have you already restarted your computer?

I had this error when my GTX 760 was not stable, and even after fixing the clocks and voltage, this issue would persist until I restarted my computer. And you might wanna see if you can increase the voltage slightly in MSI Afterburner - in the settings there is an option to unlock voltage control (requires restart).

What model PSU? 500w on the label doesnt necessarilly mean 500W. It could be a gutless wonder that came with a case and its ripple prevention is just so trash that it's causing these kinds of problems.

I restarted and I aslo unlocked the voltage on msi but it still doesn't let me modify it
