Beginning Feb. 1, drivers will ask passengers who vomit in their cabs to pay a standard, city-approved fine of 150,000 won, or approximately $138.

I believe the key word there is "in" so if you feel like vomming in a yellow/white/blue/green Toyota Corolla/Prius/Minivan and your not sure if your in a cab, vom out the window.

 

 

 

Another city official said one of the two associations wanted to impose a 200,000 won fine and the other wanted 300,000 won. After discussions with the city, both agreed on 150,000 won, intended to cover a cleaning fee and operating losses.

i think i have been in 1 taxi in my life, if any. and deffinithly not when i was sick or drunk

This has always[1] been a thing in Edinburgh there has always[1] been a 'I'll need an extra XXX to clean this cab now you have been sick in it, it will need to be off the road for this cleaning too" mind you that is common usage rather than written in law.

I had a friend who was charged $250 for that once.
