Its decent, just ordered the deadcat and rode boom pole go for it :D hopefully will reduce wind noise

also have an adapter to use it with my iPhone which is great, 

 

 

When I get some money together (after my new lens) I will be getting some better audio equipment, for now its 100000000x better than on board mics and will come in useful as a  spare, as a second mic or just as a boom or iPhone mic

my 3rd update to this topic.

 

just got a joby gorrilapod with ballhead, its small but sturdy with nearly endless possibilities since it should be able to hold 3kg.
