Ethernet Connection UPSTAIRS? :O

Rohan.Le.Roux

Hi, I'm currently facing an issue. Not really a fan of Wi-Fi, especially not for my gaming PC. My current situation at home is that I have a modem downstairs. My PC is upstairs (and cannot be moved downstairs). I need a way to get an ethernet connection up there. I've tried power line, however I'm having issues with drop outs. Can I purchase a repeater or something (that picks up the Wi-Fi connection, and then connects it via ethernet to my PC)? Can I have an ethernet connection point placed upstairs (that is connected to my modem downstairs)?

Thanks for all answers.

You are not a fan of WIFI but ok with a repeater that works wireless and outputs the signal via Ethernet ?

Either run a really long ethernet cable upstairs or if you want more connection upstairs, buy a switch.

Alternatively you could streamline it all buy running it through the walls and sh*t.

Make sure you get a good cable, 100% copper and a decent AWG. Non of that CCA crap.
