Eh. Thankfully the bottleneck is minimal, so I can hold off for a while.

My 'Signature' Rig, without the R9-290 :( /RMA

Currently using a 260x (1225/1425) and while it's very capable, it's nowhere near what I had....

Where is the bottleneck?

Opening my games with the current details set for my 290, running the 260x, I saw the performance delta difference!!!

To be fair & on topic moreso...... the last RMA I did, I ended up using Intel iGPU HD4600 (OC) to play BF4 64p MP

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

This is effectively spam but, just to upset some people...

AMD FX / FM2 CPU with anything better than R9 270X or GTX760.

I can indeed confirm this when i had my 860k + r9 280x. About 5-10%

Remember a wise man once said, "You'll most likely hear/see more bad reviews from products than good, because if they get a good product, they won't bother to write a review, and if they got a bad product, they'll complain about the product" ~ SoftenButterCream

I ran a 970 and a Pentium G3258 for a week, and man did it suck. But now that I have a much more balanced build with a Xeon E3-1231v3 it's pretty awesome.

Are you gonna return your 970 dude?

Or are you gonna keep it?

I'm going to wait to see what the benchmarks are as professional reviewers explicitly target that 3.5GB to 4.0GB area of memory now before deciding on whether to attempt a return or not. I'm also interested to see what AMD's offer is to get angry 970 owners to make the switch. I guess we'll find that out tomorrow.
