Overclocking my old cpu

Hey guys!

Since I don't have too much money to upgrade my PC all the time, I'm thinking of overclocking my CPU for quite a while now. But my question is: Can I even overclock my system to an amout that makes it actually worth it?

My specs are:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 3.00 GHz

Cooler: Zalman CNPS 9700 Nvidia Edition

M/B: Asus p5n-d

If you need more information about my system to be able to say something about potential overclocks, feel free to ask. :)

Cheers guys!

Of course overclock it, just don't let your temps get too high and watch your voltage (I learned that the hard way)

Does your Mobo support an overclock?
