Haswell or Broadwell

I am building a new pc. Considering a Z97 (LGA1150), should I wait to the release of Broadwell K series or it will be so expensive that it's better just picking a Haswell cpu?(expensive cpu for me is one from 400$ and beyond)

Just go with Haswell it's strong enough and waiting isn't gonna do you any good if you want to build a new system soon.

From rumors the difference will be better onboard graphics. So if yo have a dedicated GPU don't wait. But it will be slightly stronger than Haswell and use less power.

just get a cheapo haswell and then upgrade to a more expensive broadwell if you really want to. you can get pretty damn far on that pentium chip for gaming.

I'd definitely go with whatever you can afford now.

You'll always be waiting for the next best thing if you look at future products.

 

If it's just an upgrade, I'd definitely wait for SkyLake and Nvidia's possible NVLink.

The Pentium chip isn't really that great. It's cheap and decent at some older titles, but there are a lot of newer games it just straight up fails at.
