Dell AC511 Soundbar

Smithy2402

I am thinking of buying this with the Dell U2414H but I am wondering if it will work by connecting my PC via DisplayPort and my Xbox via HDMI

1.) Maybe look at the 2515H. ;-)

2.) As fas as I could find (a German Amazon review) you cannot get sound over HDMI. So your XBOX idea wouldn't work. You can only connect it via USB or an audio line-in.  So if your XBOX has headphone-jack, maybe you could hook it up to that.

I might be wrong though. Not a whole lot of information there...

Thanks for getting back. I know that both video and audio can go over HDMI. I was just wondering if you knew whether the soundbar being connected via USB would change anything.

PS, U2515 is a bit out of budget!

Well a person on Amazon wrote that using it via USB grabbed the signal via USB. So like a USB speaker.
