Clevo/Sager barebone under different system makers ;)

Meh, I wish there is a 1440p display rather than 2880 x 1620 :( 3K is just a bit too much for me

Ah, good to know, thanks.

Honestly, on a 15" display, I'd prefer native 1920x1080 (well, 1920x1200, but I haven't seen one with that yet). It's much more future-proof and with enough PPI as far as I'm concerned, heh.

Plural of PC is PCs, not PC's. Plural of CPU is CPUs, not CPU's. Plural of LED is LEDs, not LED's.

You can build computers really well, not real good.

Just look at the 970M, I think it's a bit too powerful for 1080p ?

Yes I agree that it's more future-proof and it's a standard resolution

All resolved. Global pricing on this model is now ready, you can see that global pricing starts from $2199 USD, other models will be added as we move along.

The price is definitely too high for my taste, but it's a very nice laptop.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

The 3K is an option if you grab it from other sellers, not sure about amazon or the others. Also it's just a re-branded one that you can get else where. 1080p is available and I have to agree that 1440p would be the highest I would go on a laptop.

It's a nice laptop but for $3K I'm better off building a more powerful PC for half the price

Nice video as always, I did some digging and it seems the laptop is made by a taiwanese OEM called clevo.

I searched their page and found this which looks pretty similar.

ERROR: Printer out of white ink!

Hi there guys,

This laptop is a Clevo P64xSx which is also a Sager N8...(something :P) and an Eurocomm M5 I believe and actually this Venon! Heres a configurator of a clevo reseller here in Portugal:

http://www.clevocenter.com/index.php/config-15/p651-config.html

You can make your configuration as you want and check the price which in here is already a bit too much as the price with the specs +/- with the MSI GS60 3k it's a difference of 150€. You don't really need to know Portuguese!

This video made me want to buy this! Only the touchscreen missing and would be awsome if it was a 14 inch screen however.

  • 1 month later...

Nice to see some other countries getting into the game. Venom is a good name considering that some of the most poisonous snake live in Australia.
