Gaming PC Build under 400 $

Shouvik

So I'm willing to buy a pc only for gaming . My total budget for the RIG is 400$ (without other peripherals) . So I need help from you guys ! Should I go for AMD or Intel ? What Ram should I buy , what HDD , what GPU etc... I need a total suggestion for building the RIG...

Okay if it's necessary I can add another 100-150 $ to the build . But that's only if the performance is better by a large margin .

Without a Z97/87 board to overclock the Pentium, it's pointless. Get the Athlon X4.

No it's not, 3.x GHz is more than enough for gaming.

Oc'ing is supported on some h boards with the g3258 after a bios update.

I'm almost positive this is without the OC on the Pentium, but I could be wrong.

Even with stock clocks it performs well enough, but H81 boards can OC.

For $100 extra you'd be able to add 8gb of ram and an ssd or better graphics card. Add another $100 and you'll be able to afford a better cpu.

Meh AMD isn't bad value wise, but intel has stronger cores. You'll find a lot of Intel fanboys around here :P
