Ahhh what is going on with some Xeon supplies?

Sorry if you have seen this else where on different forums but I am desperately trying to figure out what is going on in the Xeon world right now. I am really close to finishing my new homelab server build and I had decided on a Xeon E5-1650 v3 as the center piece to my build. I had this build all spec out a couple of months ago and have been getting parts over the time, just waiting for my tax refund to finish off the bigger items. I was double checking pricing recently on the remaining items only to have noticed that a lot of the PC part stores are either running out or out of stock of the processor I was wanting. Any word on why? We are smacked dab in the middle of a product cycle so I would expect that this part should be readily available. I haven't heard of any manufacturing issues either. Just curious if anyone would have some new insight for me! Thanks!

I have one of these on order from the B&H online retailer since Newegg and Amazon don't show any time frame on when they're getting them in. B&H says they're getting some in within 10 days from now.

I think there will be some new xeons pretty soon, including the 18 core one. IDK if that is really related, but it may be.
