School laptop so many restrictions :(

So i had to buy a school laptop for school $1600 not cheap.

I come home to install chrome and i find that they have made it so i cant download anything through internet exploader not too big of an issue grab a usb download it on another pc install it on this one.

Then when i install chrome it wants admin perms i don't have the admin password so it gives me the option to skip it and install chrome so i do.

i then get skype off another pc then it wants admin perms i skip it and skype wont install without admin perms.

The part that really ticks me off is they said we would be able to install any programs and apps we wanted to no problem.

So my question is there a way i can give my user admin perms without the admin user being accessible.

Also please note the school uses active directory for network profiles so this must work at school too.

The laptop is your property (not the school's), right?

 

If so, you can ask the retailer you bought it from about the admin password...

No, that is the reason why there's admin and limited accounts. You'd have to reinstall Windows.

 

$1600 for this trash, no thanks. I'd rather get my own laptop I can actually install shit on

Not really an option since it still has to connect to the school network for school work.

Yeah i would have brought my own if they would let me but no atleast it is a i5 8gb of ram 120gb ssd and it has photoshop and a heap of other software.

I brought my entire gaming desktop to school one day where we didn't have period switches and had it set up at my desk the whole day.

Dual boot. Cut the hard drive so the shitty school side is bare minimum and re install a fresh copy onto the other partition side?

Edit: 120 is kinda small for 2 operating systems. Might be better off with a Linux boot stick or something.

Ok guys just decided to call the school and speak to the sysadmin he said a setting didn't get loaded on to my machine correctly causing me not to have admin access.

Gonna take it in tomorrow morning.

Nah intel graphics but the reason it cost 16000 is because i fully speced it out and it comes with software like adobe Photoshop.
