OMG! Opera changed...again.

Damn! Right when i was getting used to the "new" Opera (i quite liked that style) today i found that Opera has changed it's style again, and this time it wasn't for good.

Does anybody know if i can get back to the other style without downgrading my browser?

Don't get mad, get even...

Try a different browser. I found opera slow. Try maxthon, my favorite browser.

@NARAKU_KAT you've got me a little excited. I absolutely hated when Opera went from the most robust browser in existence to Chrome look-a-like overnight.

Still hate that chrome theme, so I hope the new one is nothing like that.

Chrome and Chromium are nearly the same thing. Chrome just has some implementations from Google that Chromium doesn't have--essentially Google Chrome without the Google. It's a lot like Android and reskins of it; TouchWiz is basically Android without Google's stuff, the only exception being the Play Store.

I'll certainly will, y'know Opera is the browser i used when i had only 512Mb RAM and a single-core processor, maybe it's time to change.

Yandex Browser is my favourite at the moment

Let's see how it goes.

It just changed it's appearance, nothing big, but still, pretty annoying and ugly thing.

For everyone asking, this is how it looks now, i don't have any screencap of the last version, but it was more Win8-ish

Does anybody know how can i import my markers, favs and stuff? it would be a pain in the ass copying and pasting links manually.

Actually, what pisses me off is the preview of the sites, in the last version there were only little square icons and some kind of metro bar at the left, very stylish though.

You can change the picture concerning those squares.

You know why they call Yandex "the Russian Google", right?  Almost as much data gathering, but now Vladimir and his comrades go through your data instead of Barack and his merry men.

People are going away from chrome because is buggy. Chrome is a pretty bad choice for a browser.

Because Google is attempting to develop an internet monopoly by forcing web developers to develop for Chrome and not the Web as a whole. They just announced a domain registrar service. Right now it's possible to build a full-stack web service with Google from end to end. Google Cloud Platform -> Google Domains -> Google Chrome and that's the way they like it. They want to control the entire internet.

There are plenty known issues and complaints. If you're in the dark a Google search will help you more than I can, since I don't know all the issues but I did leave chrome because of multiple page loading and YouTube playback issues.

these are very common, pages take forever to load, youtube videos crash or just don't load at all constantly.

  • 2 weeks later...

How has the chromium based opera 'changed its style'? I'm using opera 28 and it looks nearly identical to the first opera 15 release from what I can see...
