Budget heatsync?

rl249

So from what I remember I've got a gigabyte mt68-s2p mobo in a corsair silencio 352 case , i've noticed lately that the cpu is getting hotter than it usually is, so the cpu fan seems to be going crazy to compensate. What im left with is a noisy, hot pc.. I've always wanted to upgrade my heat sync to something that's quieter and preforms better.

Can someone advise me on a quiet heat sync that'll fit this mobo.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hyper 212 EVO is probably one of the most popular budget cooling units available. The T4 will probably work well for even cheaper.

It depends on what you're really looking for. If you're only looking to cool your CPU better without spending a lot of money I would look into the Hyper 212 EVO. Tho if your PC has a windowed side panel and you want it to run cooler but to also look better ascetically the Seidon 120v would be overall more pleasing to the eye than a huge honking aluminum cooler. Performance wise I am not sure where either stand in comparison to each other. With a little bit of Google'n you can pull that up on your own. Both will out perform the stock factory cooler if that's what you're currently using right now by a long shot. If you don't get into overclocking any then it really just boils down to price and ascetics.
