Patriot SSDs

id like to know your guy's opinion on Patriot ssds, searching for it in the forums yield practically no results.

 

So why does patriot never come up for people buying ssds?

Probably because they aren't revered like Samsung, Intel, Crucial and Kingston. Well, Kingston's HyperX Fury less so.

well ive used an 840 evo 240gb and it was like an hdd in comparison to my Patriot blaze 240gb

and that the comparison between a fresh copy of windows(the 840) and my system which has loads of crap on it (the blaze)

and both were in the 6gb/s sata ports of the respective pc's.

 

Its a great brand and reliable from my experience, and really really cheap on sales.

Well I've used an 840 EVO 250GB and it was like a HDD in comparison to my Patriot Blaze 240GB.

And that the comparison between a fresh copy of windows(the 840) and my system which has loads of crap on it (the blaze)

And both were in the 6GB/s SATA ports of the respective PC's.

 

Its a great brand and reliable from my experience, and really really cheap on sales.

I don't see how an 840 EVO would be HDD-like to another SSD that is 15 USD less than it...

I guess that's a tad bit of an exaggeration, mind running CrystalDiskMark for a test on both?

It's a bit of an exaggeration but for me it was just so friggen slow, I can run a test on my home machine easily but the other one will have to wait till about wensday.

I have yet to install my EVO in my system, but "slow", can only be correctly used in conjunction with "HDD". 

I just don't see ho this Blaze SSD is so Godly.

It's like a 5 second boot time difference.

And I have 4 extra seconds of boot time from some weird thing that's happening(bios thing)

Well at the current status its testing and the reads are at 512+

I'm running csgo, steam, LTT, and streaming from crunchy roll. will post a full test with nothing running tomorrow.

I realized why the 840 was so slow, its a livestream pc, so there is a really shitty livestream program integrated to it and it seems to just kill the speed of it.

As for speed the Blaze has the same reads as other 840s(510-550) and writes in the 310-350 range.
