Paint D5 pump?

Can you safely paint the back-end of the D5 pump? Going to put a white pump top on it, would be cool if I could get the back white too (I'm aware of the bitspower mod kits)

Yes just mask it properly and if you take it apart don't get any inside of the impeller or you could also try wrapping it with some vinyl or white carbon fiber, that is very popular.
