Keep telling yourself that Nvidia didn't rip ya off. It's your money bud.

It doesn't matter. It's careless consumers like you that let big companies think they can shit all over the consumer.

Like I just said, it's more about their ethical actions rather than the performance of the card.

LOL. You talk to me like I have no reason to be pissed or something.

IMHO no you don't...nvidia was aware of this? yes probably...thats probably why they asked you to pay only 350$ per card instead of 450$ mate.

There's no reason to carry on this discussion if you're only going to use your inner fanboy rather than your brain.

You're being completely ignorant in the fact that you're ignoring everything I'm telling you as to why they ripped everyone off.

If you can't be reasoned with then you aren't worth my time.

Sorry OP for going completely off topic.

you still have a very nice gaming system for the money you've spent on it and at the end of the day that's the only thing you should care about.

we'll leave it at that, you are only 18 you still got a lot to learn in life so your time would most likely be better spent doing something else than crying on tech forums like that.

kind regards

Double VRAM cards are for SLI/Crossfire. I'm all for double vram when its $50 extra, but you can get a 290x for $250 so $450 is 200 dollars extra. Thats kinda steep considering new stuff is coming.

@Whorax, @i_build_nanosuits: How about we all shut up, and get back to OP?

Anyway, you seem pretty desperate about getting a new... er, getting a GPU. The 970 is a good deal, and so is the 290(x). If you don't mind getting a used card, you might as well buy it; however, you shouldn't buy the most modern card, with the intent to upgrade a few months later.

I believe the 970 is the better deal, due to lower power consumption and temps.
