EVGA 780 ti SC ACX1.0 overclock

yannickverc

So finally I'm overclocking my GPU, I heard it's an easy gpu to overclock but I am new to it so I thought It'd ask people with experience :)

Heaven default: pic: http://puu.sh/f3BVb/fa6457aea6.png

I messed around with +50 MHZ on the core/+100MHZ on the mem/103% power/85°C

result: http://puu.sh/f3C0T/43fc41b504.png

Then I went to +125 and it crashed after a few scenes, so I went with +100 MHZ/105% (others are the same)

result: http://puu.sh/f3C6B/351de51f2b.png

(it crashed in one of the last scenes, hence the 6.6 fps min)

I don't know what to do now, up the power target, up the temp target,... ??

(temps stayed +/-70°C at every test I ran)

Thanks :)

Don't do any overclock when your already pushing 70C+ on air already.

I don't think that is very high? I'm worrying about temps above 80

the 780ti throttles at 93C so yes its high, anyways you can try maxing the power target and adding voltage but I am for warning you now adding voltage can kill your card.

I used to have 2 EVGA SC 780 Ti's.  One thing I highly recommend before you start to overclock the card is to change the fan profile.  With a more aggressive fan profile, to include not just your GPU fans, but the rests of your case fans, you can run higher overclocks.  I was able to maintain a steady high 70's setup overclocked.  Very rarely it hit the 80's, but then again, 80's is really not that bad.  I still remember Overvolting my 780 Ti's to +25mV, 106% Power Target, GPU Temp at 95c, GPU Clock Offset @ +140 MHz, Mem Clock Offset at +500.  Got some great scores on the benchmarks but my gpu fan profile was set at 100%.

I have a potato!

I don't really wanna push it that hard. I got it at +90 now with 106% power target and it's stable on heaven benchmark with a 2114 score. I'm happy with that, I don't wanna overclock till the max, just a small overclock to get those few frames extra ;)
