[WCCFtech] Broadwell 65W TDP

han_han08

hi guys..according to posts here, the source is not that credible..but how true is the 65W tdp?

http://wccftech.com/intel-broadwell-k-lga-65w-iris-pro-edram/

power consumption is a big issue in my family so, you know. =)

temps can really go high here during summer and we don't have an AC.

I am aware of JayzTwoCents video about this. tdp wont really matter for people that makes an upgrade every year. and I don't get to have an upgrade that soon.

from http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-vs-Intel-Core-i3-4150

i thought i7's were still in the 100+W tdp... if broadwell will be that efficient, then I guess there will be no more issues xD..just an estimate on the values though

Power Consumption TDP 88W   54W Annual home energy cost 21.2 $/year   13.01 $/year Annual commercial energy cost 77.09 $/year   47.3 $/year Performance per watt 14.54 pt/W   14.07 pt/W Typical power consumption 71.5W   43.88W

Is it just me or does 65W sound a bit underwhelming? I mean unless we're talking about top end chips, Haswell was already at 65W-84W TDP.

I could be wrong though I'm far from being an expert on the matter, but neither is WCCF :P.

6 month old "news" and accf as source, damn it, it seemed so nice, although it gets hard to believe this right now.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

and yes, broadwell was mentioned to be more efficient. credibility issues of WCC aside, i did bolden if the 65W-TDP is true..

if not, im hoping for it to be lower than the i7 right now, and who knows what'll skylake bring, right?
