I recently also did a paintjob on my graphics card (red/black):

There are some minor mistakes though, but nothing that a little bit of sanding and repainting will not solve ;).

I don't know if you can do this but can you remove the light and put a red plastic film over it?

Maybe, I don't really know anything about light and paint.Sanding the green so it can be white would be cool.

I'll probably sand of the green paint and see what that looks like.

I could give that a shot, any idea for good plastic films?

It's the 980, sound is not too bad on the stock 980, but I can't speak for the 970 of course, but I guess it would be better as it's running less fast, but I have no idea on that.

Any plastic film should work, I have never seen that being done but any film with a red tinge like they use in arts and crafts.

What spray paint do you guys use?

I used Dupli-color. Worked pretty well.

I've modded my iBox NET case lately, since it makes me mad in some aspects, especially since it's a darn good case overall, but some manufactures errors makes it so darn bad to use. D:

https://imgur.com/0zROE9x,QHZjD9G,3A69JIM,v5iSATc,aMADYlN,WhLEvW1,f0pzYkA,bgu6C7F,pjfG1tL
Since I took "some pics". The 1pic showes my setup on a plexi text bench.

I:
-removed HDD cage (bond with the case by rivets, not screws :<
-repainted black->white all the exterior (Sadly I went short on paint on the very end and the plastic, which doesn't catch the spray paint as good as metal does, has this black accents to it, I wanted to paint white-blue my MSI HD7850, but 'cause of same issue it stays black-blue)
-reseated the fans at the top as the intake and placed there a shiet ton of even moar shiet soft foam. xD
-put my HDD in 5,25" bay with usage of 2 silicon pads on one screw on either side of the mount (yes, iBox only made it a one-screw mount system D:)
-redone the whole cable managment, so it'd look neat, not neet. :P
-dusted out anything I could

I've actualy rebuilded my PC for the... 6-8 time since I bought it for myself, it doesn't have even one year now. xD
