What is the best router for nvidia gamestream for under $100

Alexalex1

I'm looking for one under $50, but under $100 will be fine

Any decent dual band router really. If you pick up one from a good company (netgear, lynksis etc) you should be fine.

On Windows 8 or 8.1 it's a little more difficult, as they've hidden the option to create an ad-hoc network. Follow this guide to set up your new network adapter for ad-hoc (Use the command line method): http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-create-wireless-ad-hoc-internet-connection-in-windows-8/

On Windows 7 you'll use a GUI so depending on your preferences it may or may not be better. Use this guide: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/set-computer-to-computer-adhoc-network#1TC=windows-7

And that's it. Once you connect your Shield to the PCE-AC68 Ad-hoc network you should be able to find your PC with no issues. I found it to be better than through the router only at a close range but I tried it with a generic Tenda wireless usb, so I think you should have a much better experience with the PCE-AC68.
