KLEVV DDR RAM lineup, targeted at high-end gamers with top binned SK Hynix DRAM

ahhming

KLEVV is a partner of SK Hynix, who sell their DRAM IC to companies like Corsair or G.SKILL, but now it could be providing its top binned (best chips) to KLEVV

This means that KLEVV will be a force to be reckoned with within the DRAM market rather quickly, without having to worry about securing the best IC and paying through the nose for it, as it will be cherry picking the very best thanks to its strong connection with its parent company; Essencore, which falls under the SK Hynix umbrella.

Who doesn't want "fascinating heat sink design and sophisticated Led lights" on their ram? :P

I like how they just straight up admitted that the gaming ram was designed to be flashy, not that it shouldn't.

@TheSLSAMG that sounds like my dad lol, he asked me the other day "what computer has the highest gigs?"

Home is where the heart my desktop is.

Fools, their money; we know how it goes.

This is like buying racing stripes for your Civic. Cooler looking? Maybe. Faster? No. Cost? 2,500 more. Worth it? Sure, how big a moron with money are you?

That ram is so ugly. Very few companies seem to know how to design ram heatspreaders that actually look nice, and klevv is certainly not one of them

That DDR4 version is some sexy looking ram (IMO). The idea of gaming ram is stupid. I wish they would do this to unbinned ram and put that DDR4 heat spreader on the others so we could get regular priced DDR3 like that.

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."

The cras and urbane looks amazing. Nice to see RAM that does not look like a fugly Klingon weapon.

this is why people love the corsair dominator.

Watching Intel have competition is like watching a headless chicken trying to get out of a mine field

Saw these at PAX South. They look really good installed in a mobo. I'll seriously consider these whenever I upgrade.

A cheaper alternative to Corsair's Dominator Platinums that I was originally looking at.

EDIT: Here's a link to their Facebook photo album. Some really good pics there.

I don't think it actually looks too bad, but personally I prefer my RAM without a fancy heat spreader like this.

I can post some photos of the actual modules. The guys at the Klevv booth were very knowledgeable and helpful. They allowed me to get some very close and detailed shots.

All I want is some cheap, and decent ram with LED's in it. Preferably RGB.

That too much to ask? I'm aware of the current ones with LED's, but I said cheap lol

Edit: I did not notice the LED version......I came when I did.

Here is a quick album of what I got. The guys I spoke too said that the LEDs in the modules can be toggled off and on. Nice feature because I don't like the red LEDs.
