Why not just reply to the thread you already started, got answers to, and never replied in: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/298004-amd-gamingrecordingstreaming-pc/#entry4045154

And then theres the three other threads asking the exact same question as well.

In gaming this will beat anything AMD has to offer, and in rendering you'd need to go with an FX8320 to beat this, which would end up being 550~.

If you can afford to spend an extra 40 pounds, then picking up an R9 280 would be well worth the money: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9280atdfd

G3258 is a very limited cpu and is only advisable if hes planning on upgrading it in the very short future.

the 1st is great.

But may i ask, why win 7?

I have 8 now and its faster than 7. It also launches straight to the desktop so i dont see its cons. Took me just like 15 min to get used to.

with a bit of O.C it will do the job with no problem

Except there will still be a huge problem. The G3258 is a VERY good gaming cpu for games that can only utilize one or two threads. Now this also means when you start doing other things while gaming you run into problems. So newer games don't play nicely with a G3258 (some newer games won't even launch on a dual core without some modification). Plus he also wants to record (and presumably stream), where the G3258 would cause big problems.
