Will i be able to run 16GB of HyperX Savage DDR3 2400 MHz, on my ASUS M5A97 R2.0 ?

Yes you should be able to :)

You might not be able to get it to run at 2400MHz though, it will definitely recognize all 16GB.

Your board only supports 2133MHz max

Don't pay extra for "faster" ram. But yes, that ram will work, just at 2133mhz (the max for your board).
