You could probably buy the CS5 or CS6 version as a single unit although I'm not sure how much you want to spend. For example -> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Photoshop-Extended-Student-Teacher/dp/B003DZ0E5U/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1422203717&sr=8-4&keywords=photoshop+cs5

Intel i7 4790k / MSI Z97M / Hyper 212 Evo / MSI Twin Frozr GTX 770 / 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz / Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 / Corsair CS750M / Samsung 840 Evo 250gb SSD /  WD Blue 1TB

You can buy Photoshop only but it's a subscription, pay once a month or once a year.

Unless you buy a older version of Photoshop then no your out of luck.

There was a giant shit storm of people who were mad about CC.

it sucks but honestly CC is a great service, the monthly/yearly photoshop price is decent, and you will always have the latest version

If you bought a full one off version, then when the latest one comes out, its a whole lot more money to upgrade

You can usually skip a generation or two though. I know at the rate I update creative suite, CC is a much worse deal. And I'm wary about cloud storage, as I don't want any of my work on anyone else's servers. Plus the discontinuation of Fireworks cheesed me off to no end.

As for Photoshop, the yearly price is an alrightish deal. Or just buy CS6 - Photoshop CS6 is a very good tool with little to distinguish it from CC. That will change over the years though, so a subscription is unfortunately what you're left with.

Yeah I just bought the full subscription, got it for for like 20% off over christmas which was pretty good, im super happy with it

you can turn off the cloud and you can choose which things are uploaded or not, I find it great for syncing projects across my devices, and to my iPhone etc
