Razer Blackwidow 2013 Paint mod

Note that I take no responsibility for any damage caused to your keyboard, and that this is done completely at you're own risk, It also will void your warranty!

This is a tutorial of my latest mod, painting white accents on my Razer Blackwidow 2013 keyboard, Here's the final result! To the right of the keyboard is the mouse I also painted a few days ago! You can find the tutorial for that on my profile!

Step 1: Take out the 6 screws holding the top cover in place from the back of the keyboard, remove the two little covers in the top middle of the image and remove the screws under it and in all 4 corners under the anti-slip pads, the bottom middle one can be ignored because there is no screw under it, look at this picture for positions.

Step 2: around the edge of the bottom cover, right where it meets the top cover there are little "hooks" around the edge, use a knife or other sharp object to pry it open, be careful not to crack the plastic or scratch it.

Step 3: Once you have lifted off the top cover, remove the circuit board by removing these screws:

Step 4: Mask of any areas you may not want to paint,

Step 5: Paint it, I recommend using many very thin coats for the best result!

Fun fact, I paint on my balcony wich is right next to a daycare, so when i was sitting down and painting a guy thaught I was spying on the kids. :(

Step 6: After the paint has dried, remove all the masking tape, remove it slowly and carefully so you don't damage the paint since it's often quite easy to scratch.

Step 7: Do all these steps in reverse to put the keyboard back together, remember to correctly fit the led under the Razer logo on the wrist rest.

Step 8: Put all the rubber feet back, the adhesive should be fine, but if it isn't, use some glue if you don't plan on taking it a part again.

Step 9: Enjoy your fancy new unique keyboard!

Here are some pictures of how it may look!
