Antimalware + antivirus?

MrSushi

Hello.

Should i get both antivirus and antimalware together? Wont they cancel each other out?

What is the best antivirus and antimalware software?

Thank you for replying.

Malwarebytes anti-malware.

Just run a scan with it like once a week.

Anti-virus... Windows Defender/Security Essentials will do a decent enough job.

I run both of them. Just for good measure.
I'm sure the word "common sense" will be used a lot in these kinds of topics.

Spoiler

Microsoft Defender + ADWCleaner does the job.

Use UNCHECKY it avoids ADwares while installing softwares.

I use Windows Defender as an antivirus and run a scan with Malwarebytes every once in a while.

AVG 2015, Firethreat. No need to overdo the antivirus though.

I used to be AVG but they kinda pissed me off, and now I use Avast. It thought hl2.exe was a virus (slaps face)
