Opinions on the HP Stream 13 Laptop

Hey guys, i'm looking for a laptop for school. I saw that pc mag had this on their top laptops especially for a budget.

I wanted to know your opinions though. I would use it mostly for school, so for microsoft word and such, web browsing, and probably some movies and what not.

No worries!

I do think you could possibly do better though (with the laptop :lol:), but I'm not entirely sure.

What would you recomend? I wouldnt want to go to far over the 250$ price range.

 

 

But yeah the 2gb of ram scared me.

My absolute max would be 400 after tax/shipping i would like to pay less, but if that makes it worth it then i will for sure look into it.

Just for the record, from what I've heard from my cousins, a Chromebook and college load do not mix.  He's majoring in comp science and uses a Macbook Pro so he might be biased but I think it's best to avoid Chrome OS for college work and get Windows/OSX/Linux.

It looks nice the only thing that scares me is the Dual core Celeron.

 

Although i dont know all that much about laptops, I dont know if that is a sufficent CPU or not.

You have no idea what I've been able to find. 

 

Also, by chance, do you want my laptop? It's a Lenovo S210 Touch with 8GB RAM upgrade. I'd sell for 200 (it's a bit rough around the edges cuz I lost a couple screws when putting in the RAM...)
