Looking for a case for X99 build

Hi,

 

im looking to make a sweet x99 desktop, ive searched out all the components and now i need a case to put it all into but i dont really know how to go about looking for a good one.

So im hopeing someone with experience can give me a good suggestion.

Components:

MSI X99S SLI Plus

Intel Core i7 5960X

Corsair Hydro H110

F4-2400C15Q-32GRK

Samsung 840 Evo Series 250GB

GTX 980 Ti(TBA)

Corsair HX1200i

 

The case should be only as big as necessery to fit all the components mentioned(Note: the big CPU cooler, PSU and a second GPU is planed for the future), have a good air flow and should sit slightly raise from the ground for better air flow because its gonna sit on a rug. Im willing to pay a higher price if the case is worth it.

 

Hopeing to get some good sugesstions from you guys, links to reviews would be apreciated.

NZXT S340 looks like the best choice for me since im not using any HDDs, even the SSD mentioned above is just a place holder until the M.2 port matures and drives that can use the full bandwith it ofers are available

Ok first I would go with the msi board it is the cheapest x99 board and overall just isn't very good you could try an Asus or a gigabyte board they may have better luck

And for a case I like fratical cases they are clean and are extremely quiet

You don't need 1200w PSU for single GPU, u need only 500w.

Anyway, get more GPU power for that rig, Like two 980 and 750w psu

Well there was issues with the M.2 port that have been fixed via BIOS updates but i was under the impresion that MSI boards are good

Ill keep a eye out for reviews about that while waiting on the release of the 980 Ti

All i want is a stable board for a performance rig, maybe with just a mild CPU OC

That looks great, but its take to much space away for leg room under my desk

This rig is made with SLI Expansion later on in mind(maybe even 3way), a plain 980 can spike up to 300w and a 5960X up to 200w

so 2x300 + 200 = 800w, theres a small risk of power out if they all pike at once with a 750w PSU and this is with no OC.

And im guessing the 980 Ti will have marginaly higher consumption then the plain one so a 750w PSU wont do.

 

But for the most part the price difference in the HX family is small, the $/Watt ratio is almost constant on all products.

 

I mean im blowing over 3000 euro in total so why ceap out on the PSU just to save 100 euro its just not worth it IMO.

I would get a 1200 g2 instead tho, cheaper/better
