Are dual GTX960s worth it?

I had 2 GTX960s on lease anyways, so I decided to benchmark em.

I am also wondering what you guys think I can do to improve my content. Any information I should include, a different way to do my charts?

I would of included those, but I haven't been able to get those cards on lease yet, so I haven't had experience with them.

Either a single 980, 970 or 290X is a better option.

Anything over 1080p will be a nightmare and not everything at 1080p will work properly (because SLI)

Yea maybe. But the performance to dollar ratio was the best on the R9 290. And that was what I was aiming for mainly.

I'd make sure you spell check your work before you post it.

There are numerous errors.

I'd also do more than one game. Something a bit more demanding, perhaps. A single game isn't really a good metric of performance.

Like I said, I would of loved to benchmark the 980, and the r9 280x but I have not gotten my hands on them yet. I had a really hardtime getting my hands on 2 GTX960s Let alone trying to get my hands on 2 more cards.

I didn't notice Tomb Raider. But still, it should be at least 5 or 6 games to get a decent reading. As I said, more demanding titles would also give a better look at how they perform in stressful situations. Both of these titles are relatively easy to run.

DAMNIT I put up the wrong graph. I did battlefield, bioshock infinite, and tombraider. i accidently put battlefield up twice. Gotta fix that.

I fixed the charts. Now bioshock is in there along with tomb raider and battlefield.

I would of done more games, but I only benchmarked the GTX970, R9 290, R9 285 with these three games. I want to get my hands on them again and do more benchmarks, but I had to make do with what i had.

Not really. Two 970s is better then a single 980, and two 290s better still, as long as you have the power and airflow to run them.

Well yea there comes a point where 2 cards will give you more performance, but most of the time its better to spend $500 on 1 card, than 250 each on 2.

Before I upgraded my monitor, I was using up all 2GB of my 7870's VRAM maxing out demanding AAA titles at 1440x900. At 1080p 2GB definitely isn't enough for the GPU horsepower that the 960 offers, especially when overclocked.

It just bothers me when people make blatant shortcuts with words like that. Honestly? It's that much trouble to hit two extra keys?

It's a horrible habit and it will follow you through life, even if you don't notice it.
