Change Fn Function on Rosewill Apollo RK-9100

talltom79

So I recently purchased the Apollo with Cherry MX Browns and I have been loving it, but i have one little issue with it. Previously i had been using a generic HP membrane keyboard, the one thing I miss from it is that when you pressed the F keys they defaulted to their multimedia function (i.e. volume up or down). On my current keyboard I have to press Fn then the F key to access the multimedia function which is a pain. I have Googled  how to change this but most involve solutions are for laptops and OEM PCs and don't work on my custom rig. The Rosewill keyboard software, which is terrible also has no way to change it unless I missed it somewhere. Any ideas on how to fix this? I am running on Windows 7, with an ASRock Z87 Pro4. Any other relevant system specs are on my profile but I think that should be all that's important.

Any ideas on how to do this? There is little in the way of help for the software which is clunky and looks like it belongs in the early 90s.

can you not map the keys

I can set macros on the keys, but I'm not sure how to use that to set it so i don't need the Fn keys

Yeah this software has a reputation for being junk, and it has no options to allow me to do that, I can bind macros and common functions such as cut paste and print to the keys.

I don't think so, the M keys aren't independent keys on the keyboard, they are bound to other keys as macros I think
