You'll probably want to go with the ROG Swift. 144hz is UNREAL. It makes a world of difference in fps (especially like TF2 and Quake) because you can track so much better. With G-sync tearing will be even further reduced (non-existent).
I don't have personal experience with it but you can be sure that it will by far be compatible with the MOST games.

Get a cheap monitor (even a 1024x768 would do) if you just want a little extra workspace.

In my private Skype call recently with Jayztwocentz, he said that he only actually plays Battlefield on 1 monitor because the scaling is just so poor (as it is in most games).

Hope that helps!

I know some people on here are suggesting the Asus ROG Swift because of G-Sync, but unless you're a really competitive gamer an IPS 60Hz monitor will do, plus I think there has been various issues with the Asus ROG Swift (just search Google and this forum) that would certainly steer me away from such a monitor, not only that, but it uses a TN panel and they aren't exactly the best for great viewing angles, deep colour and contrast as those qualities belong to the IPS display technology. Just choose what's best for you I say, that's what it comes down to. :)

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

I dont understand why Linus makes such a huge deal out of clarity at different viewing angles.

The monitor has built in pivot/swivel/and tilt and only one person will probably ever be viewing it at a time.

Trust me, the smoothness is the way to go!

What's color clarity worth if you get a whole ton of tearing?

The time of TN only variable refresh rates are over in a few weeks.

Also, you must never have used an IPS for gaming. Dont link me comparisons with static pictures shot at dead center, you can link those over tomshardware 12 yearold users.

Whats the point of your FAST refresh or whatever, if you can barely see the game? Developers make it hard enough already covering everything in so much effects that you barely see anything.

Oh, and when the screen trains you to subconsciously keep adjusting yourself to be perfectly in the center = thats real torture right there.
