original xbox stuck on clock screen

Today i picked up a og Xbox from a friend for 25 bucks with games, controllers etc but when i plugged it in readt to plat some halo it prompts me to set the clock time but the menu is unresponsive. The disc drive spins and the contollers work as far as i know. Do you know how to fix this?

Open it up and check for damage from a blown capacitor. The original xbox had a clock/cmos cap instead of a battery which was notorious for exploding or leaking(it also meant the xbox time and cmos settings reset if it was unplugged for more than a few hours). Also check for corrosion on the controller ports to make sure the controller plug is making contact.
